Configuring Loyalty Rates

Loyalty Rates determine how much rebate a member earns when purchasing eligible products. Rates are configured against a combination of Loyalty Tags and member category tags, allowing your club to reward different groups of members at different rebate rates.

Before configuring Loyalty Rates, ensure you have already configured your Loyalty Tags in both Lightspeed POS and DotGolf.


How Loyalty Rates Work

When an eligible member purchases an eligible product, DotGolf uses the configured Loyalty Rate to calculate the rebate.

The rebate is calculated as a percentage of the purchase value and is automatically credited to the member's House Account.

Different Loyalty Rates can be configured for different combinations of:

  • Product Loyalty Tags (from Lightspeed POS)
  • Member Category Tags (from DotGolf)

This allows clubs to offer different rebate rates across product groups and membership categories.

Example

Product Tag Category Tag Loyalty Rate
LoyaltyBeer is-member 5%
LoyaltyFood is-member 10%
LoyaltyRetail is-member 2.5%

In this example:

  • Members in categories tagged is-member receive a 5% rebate on products tagged LoyaltyBeer.
  • They receive a 10% rebate on products tagged LoyaltyFood.
  • They receive a 2.5% rebate on products tagged LoyaltyRetail.

Configuring Loyalty Rates
  1. Navigate to Accounts & Loyalty Settings.
  2. Go to the Loyalty on Product Sales section.
  3. Add a Product Loyalty Tag.
  4. Add a Member Category Tag.
  5. Enter the Loyalty Rate (%) to be applied.
  6. Save your changes.

Repeat these steps for each product tag and member category combination you wish to configure.


Notes
  • Loyalty is only applied when both the product tag and the member's category tag are eligible.
  • Loyalty rebates are automatically credited to the member's House Account.
  • If no matching Loyalty Rate exists, no rebate will be applied.
