Configuring Loyalty Tags
Loyalty are driven by product tags in Lightspeed POS and category tags on the member categories in DotGolf. By applying tags to your products & categories and configuring those tags within DotGolf, you can control which products are eligible to earn loyalty rebate and which membership categories receive those rebates.
How Loyalty Tags Work
Loyalty uses product tags from Lightspeed POS and category tags on the member categories in DotGolf to determine whether a purchase is eligible for a loyalty rebate.
When a tagged product is sold to an eligible member:
- DotGolf checks the product's tag.
- The tag is matched against the Loyalty Tag configuration.
- If the member belongs to an eligible membership category, the configured loyalty rebate is automatically credited to their House Account.
This allows clubs to easily include or exclude groups of products from their loyalty programme without needing to configure individual products within DotGolf.
Configuring Loyalty Tags
- In Lightspeed POS, apply a tag to each product that should be eligible for loyalty. e.g. LoyaltyBeer
- In DotGolf, navigate to Tags Settings and create a new tag that is applicable to categories e.g. is-member
- In DotGolf, navigate to your Category Settings and apply the category tag you have just created to loyalty eligible categories.
