# Competition CSV File Format

**Player Pre-Registration supports importing both affiliated and non-affiliated players from a CSV file.**

**A CSV file can be created in any spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel, but care must be taken to adhere to a specific format.**

---

**Header:**

- This is ignored during the import process and can be left blank.

**Columns:**

- Membership Number
    - Membership Number has to be 7 digits long
    - Only NZ Membership Numbers can be imported

For Non-Affiliates:

- Full Player Name
- Gender: If this column is left empty, the system will assume the gender is male
- Handicap: This can be left empty if the player does not have a handicap.
- Country
- Team Name: If a team name is entered, the system will automatically group players by matching the team name.
